How Does Daxxify Work?
Daxxify consists of botulinum toxin that, when injected into the facial muscles, temporarily stops them from contracting. The toxin blocks the signals from the nerves to the muscles and allows the muscles to relax. This allows the dynamic wrinkles in the treatment area to smooth out, leaving you with younger-looking skin.
After a Daxxify Procedure
After your Daxxify treatment, you may have some redness, swelling, and tenderness, but those side effects will dissipate within a day or so. You’ll want to avoid touching or putting pressure on the treatment area, smoking or drinking alcohol, and exposing the treatment area to direct sun exposure. You’ll also want to limit your activity level for 48 hours, apply sunscreen regularly, and stay hydrated.
