Sun Damage

What is Sun Damage?

Sun damage, also called photoaging, is the premature aging of the skin due to exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation. This UV radiation exposure can be from the sun or from artificial UV light sources such as tanning beds. Not only does UV exposure age your skin more quickly than it would naturally, but it can also increase your risk for skin cancer. Signs of photoaging are seen most commonly on visible areas of skin such as the face, upper chest, back, backs of the hands, arms, and legs.

Treatment Options

At Haus MD, we are happy to provide an array of treatment options to combat sun damage for a more youthful and healthy-looking complexion.

Photofacial

Photofacial treatments, also known as IPL treatments, use short blasts of high-intensity light to stimulate collagen production in the skin. This results in skin that is firmer with a more even tone and texture. Photofacial are ideal for treating sun damage, vascular lesions, pigmented lesions, uneven skin texture, and more.

CoolPeel

CoolPeel is an innovative Tetra CO2 Laser technology that offers the amazing benefits of CO2 lasers without the downtime! This treatment is non-invasive and targets the superficial layers of skin for a rejuvenated complexion. A very short pulse of light heats the targeted tissues, stimulating collagen production to address a variety of skin concerns such as sun damage, scars, wrinkles, aging, and more.

Chemical Peel

We offer light to deep chemical peel exfoliation options for smoother, brighter skin. Peels are specifically created to treat acne, sun damage, and oily skin. All of our peels are gentle and safe enough for sensitive skin. Following a chemical peel, you can expect to peel for 3-4 days before revealing a healthy complexion. Depending on the level of peel, some downtime may be needed.
