What are Under-Eye Circles?
Under-eye circles, also known as “dark circles” are areas of skin beneath the eyes that look darkened. They may appear as a shade of blue, black, brown, or purple, depending on your natural skin color, and are often associated with tiredness or age. There are many possible causes of under-eye circles, the most common being aging. As you age, the skin under your eyes will begin to thin out and loosen, so the blood vessels under the skin may become more visible. Hollowed areas known as tear troughs may also develop, creating an aged appearance.
Treatment Option
At Haus MD, we offer fat transfer treatments to combat the appearance of under-eye circles for a rejuvenated and youthful appearance.
Fat Transfer
At our office, nanofat fat transfer is a safe and quick option used to erase under-eye circles for a rejuvenated look. During treatment, your own fat is broken down into small cells that work to rejuvenate and improve pigment. Nanofat transfer enhances the quality of the skin by reducing wrinkles and improving texture.
We perform our nanofat transfers in our operating rooms at 72nd Street and Westchester locations. We first harvest excess fat from your abdomen, waist, or thighs. This fat is then passed through filters to break the fat down into smaller pieces. Nanofat is then isolated and then injected into the desired treatment area using a cannula.
